Hello Automotive Families, It is my pleasure to work with you! High school is a fun and challenging time for our youth. They’re becoming more independent and gaining greater responsibilities. What does that mean for you as parents? This may be a fun and challenging time for you as well whether it’s your first child entering the high school experience or your last one. Our children are on their way to becoming young adults and while they may want us to loosen the grip we have on them – in reality, this is the time they need our support and guidance the most (whether they know it or not!). As the Parent Coordinator of Automotive High School, it is my intent to support you in your role as parents in your child’s education. I have always believed that strong school communities are the ones that not only have great staff and curriculums, but also strong parent involvement. Now, more than ever is an exciting time to be a part of the Automotive High School community, and there are many ways for you to get involved. I encourage you to check out the “Get Involved” section below, as well as the other helpful resources found on this page. Please check back often for updates and new meeting schedules. Feel free to contact me anytime with your questions, concerns, and suggestions. Warmly, Contact Me: vmcclaney@schools.nyc.gov |
